The kitchen screen
Live tickets — queued, preparing, ready.
The kitchen screen shows tickets as they arrive from the floor, live. It replaces the ticket printer: nothing is lost, nothing gets buried, and the floor can see when something is ready.
Open it from the terminal, under Kitchen, or go straight to /kds on the screen you keep in the
kitchen.
How a ticket moves
Every ticket passes through three states:

|---|---|
| Queued | It arrived from the floor; nobody has started it. |
| Preparing | Someone is making it. |
| Ready | Finished, waiting to be collected. |
Once everything on a ticket is ready, you mark it Served and it leaves the screen.
Filtering by station
Along the top you can choose All or one station. On the bar's screen, filter to the bar: it only sees its own.
Live
The screen updates itself. If the connection drops it shows Reconnecting… and catches up as soon as it's back — there's no need to refresh or sign in again.
What's on each ticket
Table or folio, the dishes with their modifiers, and the seat if one was assigned. When a dish is part of a combo, the ticket says Part of: and the combo's name.
Lines on a held course do not appear until the server fires that course.
