The day's book
The day's bookings and waitlist, in the order they arrived.
The book is today: who's coming, at what time, how many, and at which table. Below it, the waitlist in arrival order.
Whoever works the door runs it — you don't need to be an admin.
Taking a booking
Select New booking and enter name, phone, party size, date and time. Assign a table if you already know which, or leave it No table and decide in the moment.
Notes is for what the team needs to know before seating them: birthday, wheelchair, allergies, "always runs late".
A booking's journey
| Status | When |
|---|---|
| Requested | It came through the online form and needs confirming. |
| Confirmed | You confirmed it. |
| Seated | They're at the table. |
| Done | They finished and left. |
| No show | They booked and didn't turn up. |
| Cancelled | It was cancelled. |
At the top you're shown how many are still to confirm, so no request goes unanswered.
Waitlist
Select Add to waitlist for whoever arrives without a booking. They're kept in arrival order, which is the order to seat them in.
Deposits and fees
When a booking comes with money up front, it shows on its row: Deposit $XX if they left one, or Paid $XX if you charged a booking fee.
A deposit can be applied to the check at charge time, from the terminal.
