Menu and categories
Build your menu's structure — the categories your team navigates.
The menu is the first thing you build: without products there's nothing to charge. It's organised into categories, and those categories are exactly the tabs your team taps at the terminal.
Creating a category
Select New category and name it — Starters, Drinks, Desserts. Names can't repeat.
Think about how people order, not how the kitchen cooks. "Drinks" works better than "Cold station" because it's the word a server reaches for with a guest in front of them.
Ordering
The order of categories, and of products inside each one, is the order they appear at the terminal. Put your best sellers first: every tap you save multiplies across the whole service.
Archiving
Archive takes a product or a category out of the terminal without erasing its history. Past orders still show what was sold, with the name and price they had then.
An Inactive product stays on the menu but can't be added to an order. That's what you want for something that ran out today and comes back tomorrow.
