Online ordering settings

Hours, pause, prep time, minimum, scheduled orders and manual confirmation.

Needs Digital menu

The pickup ordering page has rules of its own, under Digital menu → Online ordering. Everything here applies to that channel only: table ordering (QR) and the kiosk don't change.

Ordering hours

Set weekly windows (say, Tuesday through Sunday, 1pm to 10pm). Outside them the page still shows the menu but takes no orders: the guest sees "closed" and when you open again. With no hours set, orders are accepted any time — same as always. A window can't cross midnight: late-night hours are entered as two windows.

Under Special dates, mark a holiday as closed, or give a single date different hours. That date wins over the weekly pattern.

Pause

When the kitchen is at its limit, pause new orders on the spot: for 30 minutes, 1 hour, or the rest of the day. The menu stays visible. The pause switch is also at hand in Point of sale → Orders, where anyone with the manage-orders permission can use it — no admin login needed.

Prep time

The minutes promised to the guest ("ready in ~20 min"), and the head start scheduled orders get into the kitchen. During a rush, add extra minutes for a set while; the boost turns itself off.

Minimum order

Orders under the amount are refused before they reach the kitchen. At 0, there's no minimum.

Scheduled orders

With this on, guests pick their pickup time — even while the kitchen is closed, as long as the chosen time falls inside your hours. You decide the minimum notice and how many days ahead. The order is held and goes to the kitchen when prep time comes around.

Manual confirmation

Turn it on and every online order waits in Point of sale → Orders until someone accepts or declines it. Accepting sends it to the kitchen; declining cancels it. If the order was already paid by card, record the refund from the order detail, like any other.
