Gift cards

Issue cards with a balance, find them by code, see what you still owe, and deactivate one.

Needs Loyalty

A gift card is balance you issue and the guest spends at the terminal with its code. Loyalty → Gift cards is where you issue them and keep track.

Issuing a card

Select Issue a card and enter the Amount.
Add a note if it helps identify it — "Ana's gift", "December promotion".
Select Issue. Nantli generates a 10-character code, with no zeros and no letter O so nobody misreads it.
Hand the code to the guest. Copy it before you close: it isn't shown in full anywhere else.

Finding a card

Search by code or by the note. It doesn't matter if you type the code in lowercase.

The filters separate three states:

With balance — works at the terminal.
Spent — all used up. A normal end of life.
Deactivated — someone turned it off on purpose.

Balance still owed

This is what you owe your guests in cards: the sum of every active card's balance. Deactivated cards aren't counted, because turning one off is writing it off.

Next to it, Issued all time is everything you've ever sold in cards.

Deactivating a card

Open the card and select Deactivate. It stops working at the terminal immediately and leaves the balance owed. It's for cards that are lost, refunded, or issued by mistake.

It's reversible: Reactivate brings it back with the balance it had left.
