Tips

Decide whether a tip belongs to whoever rang it up or to the team, and how it's shared.

Needs Point of sale

Nantli doesn't hand out the money for you — it counts it and tells you who is owed what. How it counts depends on two decisions you make in Point of sale → Charges → Tip distribution.

Who keeps the tip

  • Per person — whoever rings it up keeps their tip. Each tip is recorded under whoever took the payment.
  • As a team — tips go into a pool and are shared using the rule you pick.

The pooling rule

Only applies when tips go to the team:

RuleHow it shares
Even splitAmong everyone who worked in the period.
Proportional to hoursWhoever worked more hours gets more.
Just show the totalNantli adds it up and stops there; you share it outside the app.

The proportional rule leans on the schedules in Team. If you don't keep schedules there, use an even split or the total.

Seeing the split

The breakdown lives in Analytics → Tips: what came in over the period, and what each person is owed under the current rule.
