Importing your menu
Upload a photo, a PDF or a spreadsheet and let Nantli build the menu for you.
Typing a menu in by hand is one of the worse afternoons you can have. Nantli reads yours however you've got it and lays it out into categories and priced dishes; you just correct.
It's offered during the welcome wizard, at the Your menu step.
What you can upload
A photo, a PDF, a spreadsheet — even a handwritten sheet. You can also paste the text straight in if you have it handy.
The file needs to be under 10 MB. If we can't read the format, we say so and you can try a photo instead.
How it works
Drop the file into the box, or paste your menu text.
Select Build my menu and wait a few seconds while it's read, categories are separated, and prices are set.
Check the preview: categories, dishes and prices, paginated if the menu is long. Fix names, adjust prices, remove what doesn't belong.
Select Looks good, save it.
The limits
One import takes up to 30 categories and 100 dishes. If your menu is bigger, import the main part and type the rest in afterwards — or do it in two passes.
When a dish comes through with no readable price, it's imported at 0 rather than dropped. That's deliberate: you'd rather fix a visible zero than find out weeks later that a dish was missing.
