The live floor
Today's table map: who's seated, what's about to free up, and what needs bussing.
The floor is today's map: every table with its real state — free, occupied, turning, needing a clean, or blocked. It's the screen for whoever works the door.
It keeps itself current: a check opened at the terminal, a booking coming in, or a table marked clean shows up without reloading.
Table states
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| Free | Nobody there and no booking close by. |
| Reserved soon | A booking arrives in the next few minutes. |
| Occupied | People at the table — a seated booking or an open check. |
| Turning | The party there is nearly done. |
| Needs cleaning | The check closed and the table hasn't been bussed. |
| Blocked | Out of service: nobody can be seated there. |
Seating a party
Coming up lists the day's bookings and the waitlist. Pick the person, then tap the table they're going to — they're Seated with their table assigned in one step.
It works the other way too: tap a free table and choose who to seat, or take down a walk-in.
Tables that need bussing
When a table's last check closes at the terminal, the table flips to Needs cleaning on its own. Once it's set, tap it and mark Table ready.
If you'd rather track bussing your own way, turn the automatic tracking off in the reservations settings.
Blocking a table
A broken chair, a private event, a closed section: tap the table, add a reason if you like, and pick how long — an hour, two, or until further notice. Unblock it from the same table when it's back in service.
