Products
Create a dish: price, description, which station makes it, and how long it takes.
A product is every single thing you sell. The minimum is a name, a price and a category; the rest fine-tunes how it behaves in service.
Creating a product
Select New product and pick the kind: Single or Combo.
Enter name, price and category.
Write the description. It appears on the receipt and on the digital menu, so describe it for whoever is going to eat it, not for whoever cooks it.
Pick the Prep area — the station that makes it. If it doesn't go to a kitchen, choose No prep.
Enter Prep minutes if you know them. They feed the timings the kitchen sees.
Select Save.
Available at the POS
The Available at the POS switch is the one you use daily: the fish ran out, you turn it off, and it can no longer be added to an order. Turn it back on tomorrow.
It isn't the same as archiving. Archiving is for what you no longer sell.
Deleting
Delete really does remove the product, whether it is active or archived. The button is on the product's own page, at the bottom.
Your past orders are untouched: every line saved the name and the price it sold at, so yesterday's tickets and reports still say what they said. What does go with the product is its configuration — modifiers, combos, inventory consumption — and its photo.
If the product ever sold and you only want it out of the way, archive it. Delete is for what should never have existed: a duplicate, a test, a typo.
Inventory consumption
Under Inventory consumption you link the product to what it uses when sold: direct items or a whole recipe. Stock is deducted when the order is charged, not when it's rung.
You need items or recipes created in Inventory before you can link them here.
