Combos
Bundles where the guest builds their order by choosing between products.
A combo is a product that contains others: a set lunch, a menu of the day, a two-person deal. Each group in the combo is a slot the guest fills by choosing from the options you defined.
Before you start
The products that go inside the combo have to exist as ordinary products first.
Building a combo
Create a new product and pick the kind Combo.
Under Build your combo, select New group and give it a name that reads as an instruction: "Choose your drink", "Choose your starter".
Set how many options are picked from that group.
Add the products that can be chosen, each with an extra charge if it has one. A combo needs at least one group.
Extra charges inside a group
Options can cost more. If your set lunch includes a soft drink but the fresh juice costs $15 on top, that's the extra charge on that option — the rest of the group stays at zero.
In service
When the combo is added, the terminal asks for the choices group by group. On the check it appears as a single line, with its choices underneath.
In the kitchen, each choice travels to whichever station its product belongs to, and the ticket shows which combo it's part of. When a check is split, a combo doesn't come apart: it moves whole.
